Returning to Yourself
There comes a moment in life where you realize you’ve outgrown the version of yourself you’ve been living.
Not because you failed. Not because you made the wrong choices.
But simply because your soul is asking for something deeper.
For me, that moment began in 2019.
My husband and I were merely surviving—not thriving, not expanding… just getting by.
There was a heaviness to life, like something was missing, even though we were doing everything we thought we were supposed to do.
Deep down, I knew:
Something had to change.
Listening to the Call
It wasn’t a loud voice. It wasn’t a perfect plan.
It was a quiet, persistent knowing.
Through my spiritual connection—through aligning with my higher power—I began to feel guided.
Pulled in a direction I couldn’t fully explain yet… but knew I had to trust.
What Returning to Yourself Really Means
Returning to yourself is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering who you were before survival mode took over.
At that time, I was moving through life doing what I knew:
Cooking
Hairdressing
Creating in familiar ways
But once I followed that inner guidance… things began to shift.
Not overnight. But steadily.
I moved from simply working… to sharing, teaching, and connecting.
Because the truth is—returning to yourself requires you to unlearn before you rebuild.
The Shift Into Purpose
What started as survival became something deeper.
I went from:
Cooking to nourish to teaching others through that nourishment
From:
Working just to get by to doing work that felt aligned
And eventually, I found myself going deeper than ever before—into reflection, purpose, and understanding my role beyond just surviving.
Why So Many People Feel Lost Right Now
Know you are not alone in this.
So many people are still in survival mode—feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, and unsure of what comes next.
We are not meant to just exist. We are meant to connect, grow, and give.
Right now, people are:
Burnt out from constantly performing
Disconnected from their bodies
Craving deeper meaning
Tired of living lives that don’t feel like theirs
And I started seeing this everywhere—not just in myself.
Giving Back to the Earth
At a certain point, everything shifted again.
I realized healing isn’t just personal—it’s reciprocal.
It’s about giving back:
To the earth
To the energy that guides us
To the communities that hold us
My work began to evolve into something bigger than me.
Healing Is Not Linear
One of the hardest chapters in my journey came during my five years of servitude working with nonprofits.
At first, it felt aligned. Like purpose.
But over time, I saw something that didn’t sit right with my spirit.
Many organizations had drifted from their roots.
They were surviving—just like the people they were meant to support.
I witnessed a disconnect: Leadership advocating for high salaries, while frontline workers were underpaid, under-resourced, and still expected to carry everything.
At that point, I felt called to do something different. I encouraged my community, donors, and even those who felt aligned with certain organizations to go deeper—not just as donors, but as volunteers and even as employees when possible. To truly see how these nonprofits were operating. To witness where their donations were going and how these organizations were actually helping those in need. Not from the outside looking in, but from within the system itself. Because I believe the best place to understand healing… is from within.
I asked questions. I spoke up.
And in return, I was met with:
Dismissal
Belittlement
Subtle (and not-so-subtle) threats
I was labeled “difficult.”
But in truth—I was someone who remembered the roots.
And that experience taught me something deeply important:
Not every space that claims to heal… is actually aligned with healing.
Remembering My Agreement
Somewhere in the middle of it all… I forgot who I was.
Before those five years, I had already stepped into my path as a healer. I had already begun building my own healing business.
But I slipped back into survival mode.
Until one moment changed everything.
I remembered.
Those five years weren’t a setback.
They were an agreement. An offering. A soul-aligned chapter tied to the blessings unfolding in my life.
And when I realized that…
I cried.
Not from sadness—but from gratitude.
I hadn’t lost myself. I had just gone deep into giving—and forgot I was meant to receive.
Returning Through Realignment
After that moment, I knew I had to realign.
Not just spiritually—but in how I showed up for myself.
So I stepped back. I grounded. I returned to my foundation.
And I poured my energy into something deeply personal:
My Root Chakra Healing Workbook.
This became more than a project—it became a tool for my own healing.
A way to:
Stabilize myself
Reconnect with safety and purpose
Rebuild from the ground up
Because somewhere along the way, my own healing practice had been placed in the background.
Not gone… just quiet.
And this was my way of bringing it back forward.
The Root Chakra represents foundation, security, and belonging.
And that’s exactly what I was reclaiming.
Not just in theory—but in practice.
The First Step Back to Yourself
If you’re reading this and still feel in survival mode…
Start small.
Listen to the voice within you
Trust what doesn’t fully make sense yet
Follow what feels aligned
Allow yourself to evolve
You don’t need the full plan.
You just need to begin.
Closing (This is important—don’t skip this)
Returning to yourself isn’t a one-time moment.
It’s a journey.
And every step you take back toward yourself… is a step toward the life you were always meant to live.
