Respect the Ritual
Ritual time is upon us!
When it comes to rituals I know there are many ways and types and for years during my teen years I would find books and do word for word what the book said and many times my rituals didn’t work and other times it work so beautifully(witches luck). Why would this be? It wouldn’t be till many years into my adulthood during my awakening, that I was told and clarified as to why sometimes my rituals work and why other times nothing happened. During my awakening I was stripped of my prior beliefs and learnings as my Shaman began to show me the way to shamanism he began to describe everything being connected. He spent time explaining why this was important, you see this lesson becomes very important during ritual time for a ritual is not just going through the steps you read in a book or the ways you have been shown and or rituals you were passed down via family and or coven.
A ritual is usually a built up of circumstances when you are connected with, the essence of the universe this is easier to understand. However, for those that may be learning or just doing some research please understand that a ritual might start coming together months before you actually have the ceremony. Best way to describe this is my awakening process I started thinking of leaving the Navy in 2010 then shortly after a situation left me homeless it was here during this time where I turned to my spirituality and it was here where I met my Shaman whom is responsible for my growth and spiritual path. So, understand that a ritual is not just because it’s a holiday or a special wiccan or any other spiritual holiday, it must be access in the spiritual realms prior to that day it is here where the Goddess and or The God acknowledge that you are serious and ready to execute the ceremony and if at this time you don’t have the supplies you need and or money to get them. Where the universe will begin to move mountains to manifest the things to flow your way. By no means those this indicate that you stop manually working towards it.
Spiritual help is just that HELP but it doesn’t replace YOU. Now comes the process of gathering the materials needed, many Witches, Shamans, Voodoo Kings/Queens, and or healers out there have blogs, E-Books, so forth with spells and or rituals. Here is where your connection comes to play for the ritual online works for that individual because they are connected to their higher power not only that but that ritual was a build up from and with their journey. My suggestion is to meditate prior to selecting a ritual and if you find it online use it more as a guideline by no means am I saying that the creator of the ritual isn’t powerful but you need to make it yours and meditate and many times the words will come to you as well as the ritual itself and or ingredients, for again rituals take time they are magical and fun because of the process and journey the individual had to get to the Altar, Circle or Shrine.
Everyone strives to get to the Altar, after all, the movies make it seems like this is where it all start right? Wrong! The point of the ritual is that you are starting or coming to the end of a journey. October is one of the biggest months of rituals and within the spiritual community many rituals will take place daily for the wiccan new year also known as Samhain happens on the 31 of October. Understanding the process of the ritual will make this day magical for every inspiring spiritual being. For the Goddess and God demand all respect during rituals, the way we address the Altar and carry out the ritual is def looked on in detail.
A few weeks ago, I start my great ritual journey keep in mind I had not done a ritual for many months prior to. The Journey began with a prophetic dream where I spoke to myself during which I learned about my karmic debt. I felt a very strong pull to completion and literally started focusing on my daily in counters from that dream forth. People from my past reached out drastically during the days that followed things where taken from me and made me feel tired of it and angry with it all. I was Tired, Done! I paid all of my bills, put what I thought was very little aside for my weekly spending and spoke to friends about what was happening I found myself speaking about past-lives, My life to be more specific and one day while at work it hit me like an uppercut it was Ritual time. My ritual came to me during the last full moon of the wiccan calendar Year and Friday I laid out the plan. Monday would start the ritual, remember how I said believe in the process? I needed supplies and I kid you not the money I was told to put aside covered everything I needed for this ritual and some. I was off work on the day I had chosen to be the starting day of my ritual. Even though I live with a roommate and my significant other both had work during the time I chosen to begin the process again the universe will provide what you need when you need. We as individuals need to have the will to listen understand and execute.
Respect the Journey to the Altar connect yourself with your higher power first and build from there. Though Rituals are fun and exciting, understanding the process and the reason why one would do rituals are key to having the most amazing experience.
